The Ministry of Transport aligned to the internationally recognized Libyan government in Tripoli announced the reopening of Mitiga airport yesterday.
The announcement comes on the back of the ceasefire in the Tripoli fighting that had commenced at midnight Sunday.
The airport had closed, reopened and closed again last week after its neighbourhood was subjected to more missiles attributed to the Khalifa Hafter forces.
It will be recalled that Mitiga airport was closed for three months between September and December.
