Tripoli’s only operating airport, Mitiga Airport, was temporarily closed for safety reasons yesterday and today due to drones flying nearby.
This morning the airport was closed for under an hour before flights resumed. Most passengers did not notice the closure.
The drones were reported to have been flying close to the perimeter of the airport.
