Tunisia has reopened its consulate in Tripoli, the Tripoli-based Libyan Foreign Ministry reported yesterday. Consul General, Tawfiq Al-Qasimi arrived in the Libyan capital with eight other consular staff.
The Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the resumption of work by the Tunisian Consulate in Tripoli followed continued meetings contact between the foreign ministers of the two countries, Mohamed Siala and Khamis al-Jegenawi.
They also confirmed that preparations were underway for the meetings of the joint Libyan Tunisian Executive Committee this June.
