The Presidency Council (PC) has taken a number of steps to reduce tensions and end the on-off fighting in Sebha, the new spokesman for Presidency Council head Faiez Serraj said.

Speaking at his first press conference, Mohamed Sallak said that after meeting with a wide number of representatives from the south, Serraj had formed a committee made up of House of Representative and High State Council members and other active personalities from the south. The committee will seek to reduce tensions, seek reconciliation and end the fighting that has taken place over the last three weeks.
