Siemens power contracts worth €700 million

Tunis, 11 December 2017:

The contract signed in Berlin under the gaze of PC head Faiez Serraj last week by GECOL and Siemens for two new power station is worth some €700 million.

Siemens made the announcement today. It will build two gas-powered stations, one in Tripoli, the other in Misrata. They will add 1.3 gigawatts to national capacity. Long-term service agreements are also part of the deal.

There has been no statement about when work will start or who is getting the civil works part of the project.
