With inflation, liquidity, electricity and security issues just some of the problems facing Libyans, people from the Tripoli suburb of Tajoura sought light relief today in the form of a sheep and goat beauty contest.
Proud farmers hoping for a prize today presented their best animals, lovingly washed and groomed, and looking as if they knew it as they of roamed around the enclosures as dozens of approving spectators captured the event on their mobile phones.
The competition is the first of its kind and six judges were present to decide the final winners.
