Unknown gunmen attacked a Tajoura substation while a new transformer was in the process of being installed, state electricity GECOL said today.
As a forklift was in the process of unloading the transformer, the gunman stuck. Both the transformer and the forklift were stolen, GECOL stated. It called on Libyans to report suspected criminals and those carrying out such attacks. This is the latest in a long list of thefts from substations and power lines.
