Tunis, 7 June 2017:
A member of the Benghazi Revolutionaries Shura Council was injured and his wife and daughter shot and killed in Misrata after his car hit back of a car. In a fit of rage the owner of the latter vehicle got out and opened fire on them.
Tawfiq Al-Rashidi collided with the shooter in front of Misrata’s “Avon Mall” late last night. After the incident, the unnamed man pulled out a gun and sprayed a round of bullets at the familybefore speeding off.
He has so far not been identified or captured.
Initially, the incident was reported as an assassination attempt.
Rashidi is understood to have fled to Misrata in January this year from Benghazi. He allegedly spent some time in the infamous “12 Buildings” complex in Benghazi’s Ganfouda district prior to it being finally taken from the militants by the Libyan National Army.
