Benghazi, 5 May 2017:
Khalifa Hafter arrived back into Benghazi yesterday following his widely reported meetings with Presidency Council (PC) head Faiez Serraj in Abu Dhabi.
He flew into Benina International Airport, still closed to commercial traffic, and was greeted by a large delegation including the pro-Hafter Presidency Council member Ali Gatrani.
Also there to welcome him was Major-General Abdul Razzaq Al-Nazhouri, the Libyan National Army’s chief of staff, Benina air base commander Mohamed Manfour, the new Benghazi mayor, Abdelrahman Elabbar, as well as a contingent of members of the House of Representatives and tribal leaders.
