Tunis, 24 December 2016:
The Afriqiyah Airways airbus hijacked to Malta yesterday by two south Libyan Qaddafi supporters flew back to Tripoli early this morning along with the 109 passengers and seven crew members who had originally set out from Sebha.
The two hijackers, named as Subah Mussa and Ahmed Ali, are still being interrogated by the Maltese police. They have to be charged within 48 hours of being arrested.
Passengers and plane were met by family and friends who gathered at Mitiga airport, along with officials from the foreign and transport ministries.
