Italian-Libya Chamber of Commerce to hold workshop on current problems and opportunities in Libya

Tunis, 1 September 2016:

Doing business in Libya in the current political environment is the subject of a conference/workshop organised by the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce and a number of Italian organsiations. It is to be held on 9 September in Gorizia, east of Venice, on the border with Slovenia on .

Entitled Libya: Chaos and Opportunities, and focussing on issues faced by Italian companies in Libya in the present crisis and on expected future developments, it will comprise six sessions.

Central Tripoli’s assistant mayor Ibrahim Arebi will present one of them on the city’s needs as well as speaking about the political and economic future of Libya.

The future role the Italian companies in Libya will also be addressed by the president of the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, Gian Franco Damiano.

The situation in Libya, the chamber says, is complex at present, but that is no reason not to get involved. Despite the problems, there are still massive opportunities.
