Tripoli, 2 June 2016:
The president of the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, has flown to Khartoum for the 67th session . . .[restrict]of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union.
The fight against terrorism across the continent is on of the main subjects under discussion in the two-day meeting which began today.
On arrival, Saleh met Sudan’s President Omar Bashir.
In the past four weeks, the HoR president has been in the Ivory Coast, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The EU and the US, which have sanctioned him, accuse him of using trips abroad to deliberately prevent a meeting of the HoR to vote on the Government of National Unity.
