Tunis, 16 June 2016:
Following the accusation by the League of Libyan Ulema that Sadik Al-Ghariani is inciting civil war in Libya, the spokesman for central region Petroleum Facilities Guards, Ali Hassi, has similarly charged the controversial mufti of exploiting religion to promote murder and conflict in the country.
Ghariani, he said, was using religion and his position for personal political and ideological goals.
The attack followed yet another demand from Ghariani that once they have captured Sirte, the “revolutionaries” continue east and destroy the forces of both Khalifa Hafter and the PFG.
Ghariani again pressed his demands for blood to be shed in a statement on his own Tanasah TV station today, accusing the PFG of stealing 90 billion dinars, of being responsible for almost all the conflict in Libya, and of not being true Muslims.
Hassi is also the personal spokesman for Ibrahim Jadhran who heads central PFG.
