Tunis, 30 June 2016:
The French and German ambassadors to Libya, Antoine Sivan and Christian Much, made a joint flying visit to Tripoli today although they had different programmes.
The French ambassador met Faiez Serraj and a number of ministers, including interior minister Arif Khojja, foreign minister Mohamed Siala and education minister Mohamed Azzabi, while his German counterpart met heads of various organisations.
In both cases, all meetings focussed on the help that could be given to Libya in the present situation.
Although the British ambassador, Peter Millett, was in Tripoli at the same time, he travelled separately and his visit is said not to have been coordinated with those of his French and German counterparts.
