London, 9 June 2016:
The Libya-based CBL announced today that it had delivered a consignment of money to the Nefusa Western Mountains, in western Libya. The money was flown into Zintan airport.
The statement did not say what the amount was, but implied it was part of the LD 200 million batch of new bank notes printed in Russia that had arrived from Russia on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, CBL Beida had reported that it had sent LD 50 million to the Tripoli CBL to help ease the cash shortage in the capital. [/restrict]
