Presidency Council head Faiez Serraj discussed security this morning with his defence minister Colonel Mahdi . . .[restrict]Al-Barghathi who arrived in Tripoli on Thursday. According to a council statement, security in Benghazi was at the forefront of their discussions. Barghathi who was in Benghazi until earlier this week, has extensive knowledge of the city’s security requirements, having been the commander of 204 Tank Brigade there.
Meanwhile last night, after midnight, the Thinni administration’s interior minister, General Mohamed Al-Madani Al-Fakhri, made a surprise inspection of security patrols operating in a number of locations in Benghazi to see if they were working effectively.
