The president of the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, today visited areas of Benghazi freed of . . .[restrict]Ansar Al-Sharia and its allies. He also took part in a workshop at the headquarters of Arabian Gulf Oil Company on the city’s reconstruction, promising official support for its rebuilding
During the visit, he toured both Benina and Leithi, at one point the militant’s main stronghold in the city and there met local residents as well as some of the soldiers who took part in its liberation. He also visited Gwarsha.
Praising the armed forces for having liberated Benghazi, he expressed his personal happiness at seeing the police and army deployed in the city.
During the day, he also met the Thinni government interior minister, Mohamed Al-Fakhri Al-Madani, as well as Saiqa Special Forces commander Colonel Wanis Boukhamda, Benghazi mayor Omar Barasi, the city’s police chief Police chief Colonel Salah Al-Huwaidi as well as officials and activists.
