Tunis, 8 March 2016:

The bodies of the two Italian oil workers, Fausto Piano and Salvatore Failla slain in . . .[restrict]Sormam six days ago were flown from Zuwara to Tripoli’s Mitiga airport this afternoon. The pair died when Sabrathan militiamen stormed the building whre they were held after their kidnap last July.

With them came the corpses of four Tunisian IS suspects killed in the town in recent fighting. The authorities in the capital said that 26 more bodies will be flown in tomorrow.

The attorney-general in the Khalifa Ghwell’s Tripoli administration has ordered autopsies on the Italians which a spokesman said might be finished by tomorrow afternoon.
