By Libya Herald reporter.
Doubts are circulating in Tripoli about an invitation supposedly issued by the General National Congress (GNC) to Prince Mohammed Al-Rida Senussi, the son of the late Crown Prince Hassan Al-Rida, to join Independence Day celebrations in the city tomorrow.
No GNC officials could confirm the invitation photos of which show it as not being in the usual GNC format for such documents. The stamp too is slightly different from the only usually used. Also, with GNC president Nuri Abu Sahmain heading to Oman for further “Libya-Libya” dialogue discussions with HoR president Ageela Saleh, no official celebrations are planned in the capital tomorrow.
The prince, who has been recently based in Istanbul, is expected to make his own Independence Day broadcast, however. [/restrict]
