According to the UAE, the two reviewed cooperation between the Libya and the UAE in various fields and possibilities of extending it.
In an indication that the UAE is willing to help fund the cash-strapped Beida administration, the UAE Central Bank Governor Mubarak Rashed Khamis Al-Mansoori also attended the meeting.
The meeting indicates that the UAE continues to recognise the Thinni government, at least for the time beinjg, despite last Thursday’s signing of the UN-brokered Libyan Political Agreement which the UAE approves.
