Tunis, 13 November 2015:
US Secretary of State John Kerry has said that the international community needs to focus . . .[restrict]“more diligently” on Libya. He was in speaking in Tunis after meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche.
However, despite his call, US officials say that reports that he intends to convene a meeting of foreign ministers from states concerned about developments in Libya were premature. They note that the new UN Special Envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, has said that he is not yet ready for such a conference.
Kerry was speaking before the attacks in Paris which are expected to divert international attention. [/restrict]
