Tripoli, 30 October 2015:
An armed gang yesterday attacked the jail in Zliten, 140 kilometres east of Tripoli, wounding police . . .[restrict]guards and temporarily taking it over.
The gang, reported to have been led by a man named Ageela Andisha, shot at members of the judicial police. One of them, Mohamed Al-Hamali is said to have been wounded in the leg and was taken to hospital for treatment
The jail’s director is also said to have been assaulted.
