Tunis, 1 October 2015:
Members of the Women’s Bloc in the House of Representatives (HoR) have said they reject . . .[restrict]the latest final Libya Dialogue draft agreement, amended last week by UN Special Envoy to take on board amendments demanded by the General National Congress.
In a statement issued last night, signed by 19 women HoR members representing various factions in parliament, they said that while they supported dialogue, the latest draft dated 28 September, was unacceptable. The only draft that they and other HoR members would approve was that initialled in Skhirat on 11 July, they said.
The HoR members also demanded that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNMSIL) stop trying to pressurise the House and its delegates into accepting deadlines for the completion of the Dialogue. [/restrict]
