Tunis, 31 July 2015:
Foreign and regional ministers from Libya’s neighbours are meeting in the Chadian capital of Ndjamena today . . .[restrict]as part of the various interrelated international attempts to find solution to the country’s crisis.
The meeting, the sixth since the roundtable talks were initiated, was supposed to take place in February but was cancelled at the last minute. The aim is to coordinate policy between the neighbouring countries and the UN and speed up efforts to rapidly produce a Government of National Accord. It is also aimed at ensuring that Libya does not continue to leak terrorism nto the neighbouring states.
It will follow straight after today’s meeting in Algiers between UN Special Envoy Bernardino Leon and the head of the continuing General National Congress, Nuri Abu Sahmain.
On Sunday, there will also be talks on Libya in Cairo, the Egyptians and Algerians being joined by the Italians. [/restrict]
