Tripoli, 24 May 2015:
There have been further prisoner exchanges in the west of the country, this time between Zintan . . .[restrict]and Gharyan. They exchanged 23 prisoners on Friday.
Elders and the municipal councils of both towns mediated the swop of eight Zintanis and 15 Gharyanis. It was second such swop involving the two this year. In January 46 Gharyanis were released by Zintan and 11 Zintanis by Gharyan, which also freed 14 Warshefanis.
This month has a growing number of prisoner exchanges in the west as the various combatants, including the Misratans, that Warshefana, Rajban and Zawia, as well as Zintan and Gharyan, hesitantly edge towards a settlement. [/restrict]
