Tunis, 19 May 2015:
The Libyan government has confirmed . . .[restrict]that it has received feedback from the House of Representatives (HoR) on its proposed 2015 budget.
The revelation was made on Sunday at the cabinet meeting held in Al-Beida, the seat of Libya’s only internationally recognized government.
The Abdullah Thinni government has referred the amended 2015 budget proposal to its Ministry of Finance and Planning for review and a response to the proposed HoR amendments.
It will be recalled that the HoR Finance Committee had received the Thinni government’s 2015 LD 44 bn (US$ 32 bn) budget proposal last week.
It was expected that the HoR would put the budget for a vote by the end of this week or early next week.
