Tripoli, 31 March 2015:
The UN is to help care for the children of almost three thousands displaced families . . .[restrict]currently sheltering in Tripoli’s Abu Selim district.
The United Nations Children’s Fund has signed an agreement with the local council to back programmes that offer support to the children and their families.
Abu Selim, according to UNICEF, currently hosts more than 2750 internally displaced families.
The signing took place in Tunis. Last week the mayors of Benghazi and Janzour also met UNICEF Special Representative in Libya Ghassan Khalil in Tunis to sign similar agreements. [/restrict]
