Benghazi, 22 March 2015:
Benghazi Medical Centre’s Kidney Clinic was struck by stray bullets yesterday, terrifying employees and patients alike.
The . . .[restrict]bullets hit the building, in the Hawari District, while patients were receiving dialysis. There were no reported fatalities.
The Libyan National Army (LNA) has been battling Ansar Al-Sharia in Hawari for months. In February Red Crescent teams evacuated 160 from the clinic because the fighting near the clinic had become so intense.
Benghazi Medical Centre, in addition to being at risk of being hit by stray bullets or mortars, has suffered from supply shortages since the armed conflict began. [/restrict]
