Four members of Misrata’s Third Force were not, as their companions originally claimed, murdered by Ansar Al-Sharia, according spokesman . . .[restrict]for the unit.
Mohamed Galwan has insisted that three others kidnapped along with the militiamen in mid-January, were only later released to spread a false message.
“The three men who were released were not actually part of the Third Force,” he said. He insisted that the purpose of their release had been to deliver the lie that the kidnappers were part of Ansar al-Sharia and not “agents of the former regime” or someone associated with Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni’s government in Beida.
The bodies of four kidnapped members of the Misratan Third Force were found about 80 kilometres from Wadi Alud, They had been sent to secure the south and were seized at Buwaba Wahima between the town of Hun and the Bu Nageem . [/restrict]
