Tripoli, 18 February 2015:
The government has called on the Egypt to continue airstrikes on terrorist targets in coordination . . .[restrict]with the Libyan air force.
It said that it appreciated Egypt’s help in the fight against terrorism and extremism, especially in light of the international community’s “silence” regarding the threat posed by terrorists in Libya.
The government went on to accuse the international community of having a “double standard” when it comes to dealing with Libya in comparison to its policies in combating terrorism elsewhere.
The government insisted that there was complete harmony between itself, the House of Representatives, the national army and Egypt. “And we stand side by side with the Egyptian president against the terror and extremism that threaten our two countries and the whole world.” [/restrict]
