Egypt has suspended its border crossing fees at Salloum for its nationals to ease the movement of . . .[restrict]the thousands of Egyptians fleeing Libya after the killing of 21 Christians by the Islamic State. The suspension is to last for three months.
The Associated Press reported today that over 20,000 Egyptians have crossed into Egypt via Salloum since 16 February. Additionally, 5,000 Egyptians have now been flown to Egypt after crossing into Tunisia via Ras Jedir. [/restrict]
