The photographer for Bengahzi newspaper Burniq has been freed according to the Libyan Centre for Defence . . .[restrict]of Journalists (HESN). Omar Jaber, said to be a supporter of Operation Dignity, was seized last Saturday evening in the city’s Ard Qareesh district. He was released unharmed and is now back with his family.
The identity of his kidnappers and the reason from his abduction have not been revealed.
Last year, the editor of Burniq, Muftah Buzid, was assassinated in Istiqlal Street, formerly Jamal Abdul Naser Street, just hours after appearing on TV and discussing an interview he had done with Khalifa Hafter. [/restrict]
