By Libya Herald staff.

Tripoli, 27 December 2014:

Only a week after 58 Indian medical workers were evacuated from Libya, eight Indian nurses are . . .[restrict]returning to work in Benghazi.

The eight nurses include one married couple and, according to Indian media, one nurse is bringing her child with her. In spite of the Indian government’s warning against travel to Libya at this time, the nurses, who have all worked in Libya for almost 13 years, are insisting that they have no option but to come back. They  left all their certificates and documents in Libya. All have valid Libyan visas .

There are reports however that the Indian authorities are seeking to stop a further 200 nurses travelling to Libya, after they were recruited by an unnamed employment agency.
