The Libyan Under-23 volleyball team has made a shaky start in its bid to qualify for . . .[restrict]the Africa Nations Cup. The team today lost all three rounds against Rwanda. Tomorrow it faces host Egypt in the six-country qualifying competition.
The games, which were originally slated to be held in Libya, were relocated to Cairo because of the security situation, Nasser Almehdawi , Libyan Olympic Committee media officer told the Libya Herald .
On Sunday Libya’s player take on Morocco with Tunisia the following day and Algeria on Tuesday.
The top team and the runner up in Cairo will qualify for the African Nations Cup, whose top teams will go on to compete in the Volleyball World Cup next year.
