Tripoli, 10 October 2014:
Dar Al-Ifta has released a terse statement in response to a letter received from the . . .[restrict]people of Warshefana.
The Dar Al-Ifta statement referred to the letter which accused it of siding with the Zawia militia in its looting, burning and destroying of Warshefana property. Apparently the letter also contained an admission that there are criminals in Warshefana, but drawing a distinction between such common criminals and those, like the Zawia militia men, who loot and ransack.
In its response to the Warshefana letter, Dar Al-Ifta denied siding with or encouraging any kind of criminal behaviour, whether militia-related or otherwise.
Furthermore, the Dar Al-Ifta statement accused the Warshefana of harbouring criminals. It criticised the Warshefana for making distinctions between its own criminals and those from Zawia.
The statement also said that Dar Al-Ifta wished justice for all of Libya, including the Warshefana. [/restrict]
