Tripoli, 29 September 2014:
The Libyan Red Crescent headquarters in Tripoli has sent food and medical aid to the . . .[restrict]Red Crescent branch in Zawia to be distributed to branches in the western region.
According to Malik Mohammed Morsat, an official from the media office in Tripoli, supplies were sent specifically to the Red Crescent in Zawia, Sabratha and Jamila.
Morsat added that the materials would be redistributed to the rest of the western branches within two days.
Since the current conflict began in June, the Libyan Red Crescent has worked doggedly in the face of considerable obstacles to deliver aid to places of need, including Tripoli, Benghazi, Warshefana and now Zawia. [/restrict]
