Benghazi, 2 August 2014:
Four children, aged between 10 and 13 years of age, were killed yesterday when an ordinance . . .[restrict]shell exploded. Two other boys were critically injured although they are now said to be in a stable condition. They are being treated in Benghazi Medical Centre.
It was an accident. “Neither Ansar nor Saiqa are to blame,” an official said. The children were reportedly playing with the mortar shell in the city’s Sirti district at the time. “The problem is that every family in Benghazi has guns and weapons at home,” the official commented. [/restrict]
