Tripoli, 16 July 2014:
Despite news that it is closed, the Wazen-Dehiba crossing into Tunisia is open according to Nalut . . .[restrict]Local Council.
The crossing is operated on the Libyan side by guards from Nalut.
In a statement released last night, the council strongly condemned the rumors to “sow discord and hatred among the people”.
No one in possession of passports and correct paperwork would be blocked from entering or exiting the country, the council said, whether Libyan or foreign.
Nalut council, its revolutionaries, its Security Directorate and all other security authorities were committed, the statement added, to the security of the entire area and thousands upon thousands of vehicles and passengers had safely passed through.
