A young man gave his life last . . .[restrict]night going to the rescue of a group of young women being attacked by armed men trying to steal their car.
Just after iftar last night in Benghazi’s Majouri district, Mukhtar Saiti and his friends saw the group of men harassing the girls, preparing to get away with the vehicle.
When Saiti stepped in to intervene, the group opened fire at him and then fled, leaving the car behind.
Saiti was taken to Al-Harm Hospital for treatment, but died from an extreme loss of blood.
His body has been transferred to Benghazi Medical Center for examination by the coroner.
There was another killing in Benghazi last night. Hussein Eljebaili, a soldier with both the 1st Infantry Brigade and the Zawia Martyrs Brigade was shot while driving in Zeitun district. His killers are likewise unknown. [/restrict]
