Tripoli, 21 June 2014:
Caretaker Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni has suggested Russia could train Libyan police . . .[restrict]recruits during a meeting with Russian Ambassador Ivan Molotkov.
Thinni said Libya’s police forces were in great need of training and capacity building during the meeting with officials from the Russian Embassy. He added that security forces could benefit greatly from the expertise offered by Russian police, whose reputation he said was well known.
Molotkov said he would convey Thinni’s feelings to the Kremlin and hoped for a swift response.
