Minerva and Law International, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute hosted the 2-day seminar: . . .[restrict]“Cooperation between Italy and Libya on women’s rights through a collective strategy” at the Waddan hotel 14-15 May 2014.
The Deputy Minister of Culture, Abdulrazag Abara and the Italian Consulate General in Tripoli, as well as the head of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tripoli, Mr. Rubens Piovano, officially welcomed the guests.
A cross-section of women activists and NGOs attended and discussed issues of “female quotas” in politics and in management, training and professional development for women, and domestic violence against women.
The event is the second leg of the event, as part one was held in Rome in March.
The event was supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tripoli. [/restrict]
