Benghazi, 14 May 2014:
The family of Benghazi Special Forces Commander Wanis Bukhamada have denied reports that gunmen today targeted . . .[restrict]his wife and daughter.
A member of the Bukhamada family told the Libya Herald that an incident in which a bullet had struck the the pair’s car while they were shopping in Ard Al-Heresa had been exaggerated. It seems the shot hit the car’s wing-mirror by accident.
At the end of January Bukhamada’s son, Ali Wanis Bukhamada, was kidnapped at gunpoint in Benghazi’s Garyounis district. He was released one month later.
