Tripoli, 24 April 2014:
Six children were among 126 illegal immigrants discovered by police who searched a suspicious-looking lorry . . .[restrict]carrying scrap metal on the outskirts of Misrata.
There were 80 men and 40 women in the truck, which was travelling from the east of the country. The immigrants were described as being “in very bad condition” and their discovery cited as a rescue rather than an arrest.
They were transferred to local detention centres. [/restrict]
