Tripoli, 10 February 2014:
Reports that explosives were found on the premises of the General National Congress (GNC) today have . . .[restrict]been denied by Congress spokesman Omar Hemidan.
“What has been spread on local TV channels and on Facebook is completely incorrect,” Hemidan told the Libya Herald. He added that reports that Congress staff had to be evacuated were also untrue.
Work at Congress was “normal” today, Hemidan said, adding that Congressional committees had held their meetings as usual on the premises. [/restrict]
