On its Facebook page, the Ali Zeidan Interim Government said that it had “launched its new logo which will be the visual identity for the government and for forthcoming governments”.
In describing the logo, it said that “it consists of circles at the centre of which are the crescent and star surrounded by 17 small crescents symbolizing the 17th February revolution which are in turn surrounded by two olive branches balanced on the scales of justice with the words Government of Libya/Office of the Prime Minister above and below them in Arabic and English.
These are surrounded by an outer ring in the red, black and green colours of the Libyan Independence flag .
