Benghazi, 10 February 2014:
An explosion at a house in Benghazi this morning left two people dead and a . . .[restrict]further two injured.
Authorities are still making inquiries into the blast, which happened at an uninhabited, detached building at the end of Al-Hejaz street in the Laithi district, a source close to Benghazi Joint Security Room told the Libya Herald.
Although he could not confirm the cause of the explosion, the source said there had been reports of “suspicious gatherings” of up to seven men in the building. Experts had found remnants of weapons and ammunition at the site, he said, adding it was thought such explosive items may have been the source of the blast.
The four victims, whose identities have not yet been made public, were taken to a Benghazi hospital. [/restrict]
