Tripoli, 30 January 2014:

Benghazi Special Forces Commander Wanis Bukhamada's son was kidnapped at gunpoint this afternoon.

A source close to the Special Forces confirmed the kidnapping to the Libya Herald. “He had left Benghazi University, where he was studying, and was having lunch with friends in a restaurant in the city’s Garyounis district," the source said. “Four masked gunmen stormed into the restaurant and snatched him at gunpoint in front of his friends.” He added that no-one was able to help because of kidnappers were armed.

They sped away from the scene in three Toyota Land Cruisers without number plates, he added.
