Tripoli, 19 December 2013:
A GECOL station manager was killed in Tobruk this morning when an explosive device attached . . .[restrict]to his vehicle was detonated.
Adam Mohammed Al-Kharshoefi Al-Mansouri, the head of the Ultra Effort GECOL Station for the Jebel Akhdar region, was the first person to be assassinated in the town since the revolution. A friend, who was also in the car at the time of the attack, survived the blast.
GECOL spokesman Lotfi Ghoma told the Libya Herald that Mansouri lost both his legs in the explosion and died on arrival at Tobruk Medical Centre. He added that it was not known who was behind the attack. [/restrict]
