Tripoli, 11 November 2013:
At yesterday’s press conference, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan said that his government “will not allow the . . .[restrict]prestige of the state to be taken over by political illusions”, referring to the militant Federalist Ibrahim Judran and his demand for federalism.
Referring to the widespread use of force to extract labour and or political demands, Zeidan said that “the non-payment of salaries is not an excuse for shutting down oil facilities. I do not think political demands justify the closing down of oil production. We should not accept this”, the Prime Minister added.
Referring to the former fighters, the thuwar, Zeidan said that they “must accept their responsibility. They should not use arms to create insecurity”. [/restrict]
