Tripoli, 16 November 2013:
Crowds are gathering in central Tripoli in protest against last night’s clashes in Ghargour . . .[restrict]that left more than 40 people dead and over 400 injured.
Protests started this afternoon in Tripoli’s Algeria Square, with around 200 people. They were heard chanting: “No more militias, no more Misrata, no more Elbadri.”
The last was a reference to the head of Tripoli Local Council, Sadat Elbadri, who some blame for last night’s bloody clashes, after he called on Tripoli residents to take to the streets against the presence of armed groups in the capital. [/restrict]
